Florida State Vs. N.C. State: Seminoles Seek Season-High Third Straight Victory

The Seminoles (4-3, 2-2) host the Wolfpack (4-3, 1-2) this Saturday.

This Saturday, Oct. 29, the Florida State Seminoles (4-3, 2-2) host the North Carolina State Wolfpack (4-3, 1-2) in an Atlantic Coast Conference showdown. Kickoff is scheduled for noon Eastern, and the ESPNU crew of Rob Stone and Danny Kanell will have the call.

In each of its last two games, the Seminoles have easily dispatched an ACC foe by a 41-16 final score. They can extend their winning streak to three--a season-best--if they defeat the Wolfpack today. But N.C. State is coming off two straight wins of its own, having defeated the Central Michigan Chippewas and the Virginia Cavaliers. Saturday's is a matchup of two teams on the rise in the ACC.

Florida State has dominated its head-to-head matchups with the Wolfpack, with a 20-9 record all-time, but the Wolfpack upset the then No. 16-ranked Seminoles, 28-24, in the teams' most recent meeting. The Seminoles squandered the 21-7 edge they held at halftime, allowed the Wolfpack to score the go-ahead touchdown on a fourth-and-goal with less than seven minutes to play, and then fumbled on their final drive. Clearly, they're hoping for a better result in this meeting.
