The Nebraska Cornhuskers will represent the Big Ten in their first season in the conference at the Capital One Bowl in Orlando. They will be squaring off against the South Carolina Gamecocks, who will be representing the SEC.
The Capital One Bowl is played annually in Orlando, Florida in the Citrus Bowl. Originally the bowl was called the Tangerine Bowl before becoming the Florida Citrus Bowl, but took on the exclusive Capital One Bowl name in 2003. The game is typically played on New Year's Day, just before the Rose Bowl, but will be played on Monday this year because January 1st falls on a Sunday. The game typically pits the Big Ten against the SEC.
The game will be broadcast on ESPN and streamed on-line live on ESPN3. The game will also be broadcast in 3D on ESPN 3D, if you're into that kind of thing. The game will be called by Joe Tessitore, Rod Gilmore and Quint Kessenich.
