The Florida State Seminoles held a one point lead at halftime over the Virginia Cavaliers as the Noles tried to pick up their seventh straight ACC game in a row. Both teams struggled to score points in the first half, especially the Cavs shooting from three-point range but both teams were able to put up points in the second half. The Seminoles in fact took a 14-point lead at one point in the second half and nearly blew the lead. The Noles held on however and picked up the 58-55 win to move to 7-1 in the ACC and hold on to first place.
Okara White lead the Seminoles in scoring with 13 points off the bench and also picked up 5 rebounds. In the loss, Virginia had a pair of players score 16 points in Mike Scott and Joe Harris with Scott adding 11 rebounds for the double-double. Guard Malcolm Brogdon also picked up 10 points off the bench for the Cavs.
