ACC Tournament Schedule 2012: Florida State Vs. Miami Game Time, TV Coverage And More

The nightcap of the the ACC tournament quarterfinals has the Florida State Seminoles playing the Miami Hurricanes in a game that could decide the NCAA tournament chances of one team.

The Miami Hurricanes got to the quarterfinals by defeating the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets 54-36. After trailing the Yellow Jackets by one at halftime, guard Rion Brown hit a pair of three pointers as part of his 10 points off the bench to spark Miami on an 18-0 run to end the game. Guard Shane Larkin led the Hurricanes with 12 points, while guard Durand Scott scored 11 points. Forward Reggie Johnson only scored 7 points but pulled down 9 rebounds to lead the Hurricanes in that category.

The Florida State Seminoles are looking to avoid a third straight early exit from the ACC tournament, losing to North Carolina State and Virginia Tech the last two years. To do that they will need a big game from guard Michael Snaer, averaging 14.1 points per game.

While the Seminoles appear to be headed back to the NCAA tournament, Miami more than likely needs a win over Florida State to give them a push off of the bubble and into the tournament.

The game is scheduled for a 9 p.m. tip off, depending on the finish of the prior game between Duke and Virginia Tech. The game will be broadcast live on ESPN2 as well as Raycom Sports. It will also be available streaming on ESPN3.com.
