The Florida State Seminoles have one of the most iconic mascots in Chief Osceola. He rides around on a horse before the football game starts, lights his spear on fire, then charges onto the middle of the field and plants the flaming spear at the 50-yard line.
Pretty awesome right?
Well, not as awesome as FSU's new mascot.... Cimarron.
As you can see, Florida State felt the need to go with a new cuddly horse with gigantic shoes that look like they could crush unsuspecting children who just want a hug. The mascot's name is Cimarron, which may or may not be the name of a 1929 novel based on the development of Oklahoma during the gold rush.
It may or may not also be the name of a model of 1980's Cadillac that was only in production for six years.
