The pairings for the annual ACC/Big 10 Challenge have been announced by ESPN. The annual event will take place on both November 27 and 28 with games televised on the ESPN family of networks.
The Florida St. Seminoles, 6-7 all-time in the Challenge, will play host to the Minnesota Golden Gophers, 5-8 all-time, on November 27. This is the fourth time in the Challenge's history that these two teams will play one another. Florida State won the matchups against the two teams in 2004 and 2007, Minnesota won in 2000. What should be encouraging is that the Seminoles are 4-2 at home in the Challenge while the Gophers are 1-5 on the road.
The Miami Hurricanes, 1-4 in the Challenge, get a stiff test at home as they will host the Michigan St. Spartans, 6-6 all-time. The Hurricanes lone win in the Challege was a 63-58 victory over Minnesota in 2009. Michigan State though, have been very inconsistent on the road in the Challenge, going 1-4 all time.
