The college football season is still about four months away, but that's still closer than what a lot of people think. Because of that very reason, the SB Nation Preseason BlogPoll was released on Wednesday, with only one team from the Sunshine State in the top 25. The Florida St. Seminoles are at No. 8 after a 9-4 2011 season, which culminated with a victory over the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in the Champs Sports Bowl in Orlando.

The Seminoles have 18 returning starters, nine on both sides of the football including quarterback E.J. Manuel. Manuel threw for 249 yards and two fourth quarter touchdowns against Notre Dame to give the Seminoles an 18-14 victory. During the 2011 season, Manuel threw for 2,666 yards and 16 touchdowns with only six interceptions. One area of concern for the Seminoles is their offensive line, but if that area gets addressed, the Seminoles could be well on their way to a great season in 2012.

Other Florida teams including the Florida Gators, Miami Hurricanes, the Fla. International Golden Panthers and the Central Florida Knights all received votes in the poll. The Gators were the closest to cracking the top 25.
