Florida State cornerback Greg Reid was arrested in Georgia on Tuesday night for possession of marijuana and driving on a suspended license. WCTV reported news of Reid's arrest on Wednesday morning.
Reid was taken to the Lowndes County Jail following his arrest. He has since been released on bond.
A senior with the Seminoles, Reid was a prized recruit and considered to be one of the top high school players in Georgia before he made the decision to attend Florida State. A starter since 2009, Reid had two interceptions and 32 total tackles for the Seminoles last season.
In addition to his cornerback duties, Reid also returns punts and kicks. In 2011, he returned 37 punts for a total of 416 yards and one touchdown.
Reid was arrested in September 2011 on charges of perjury and resisting arrest. Those charges were later dropped.
