Sammy Watkins Will Be A Focus Of FSU Defense

Clemson Tigers wide receiver Sammy Watkins had a big game against the Florida State Seminoles last season in what was just his fourth college football contest. Watkins pulled in seven passes for 141 yards and two long touchdowns in the Tigers' 35-30 win over the Seminoles on the way to a Tigers Atlantic Coast Conference title in 2011.

Florida State head coach Jimbo Fisher called Watkins a phenomenal player on Monday and went even further with his praise:

"The most impactful freshman, maybe since Herschel Walker," Fisher added, comparing Watkins to the former Georgia star. "Sammy made that kind of impact the day that he came in."

The Seminoles are going to want to neutralize Watkins more effectively than they did a year ago, especially if they want to avoid the upset, being two-touchdown favorites against Clemson.
