Three-time X-Games gold medalist Ricky Carmichael will be the guest picker as ESPN's College Game Day comes to Florida State's Doak Campbell Stadium, the Orlando Sentinal reports. Carmichael won his medals in the motocross event and currently spends his time in the NASCAR Camping World Truck and Nationwide Series. The spot usually goes to a notable local and Carmichael is both a Tallahassee native and really, really good at going fast. More on Carmichael and Game Day after the jump.
The guest picker was absent last time Game Day came to Tallahassee, either because Marcus Outzen was unavailable or ESPN simply feared that heckling from Seminole fans would drown out the show. FSU alum Lee Corso also picked against the Seminoles the last time the show came around. All manner of havoc has been known to break out at the end of the show, when Lee Corso signals his pick by donning the headgear of one team over another. FSU fans certainly hope he puts on the Seminole headdress rather than the head of 8-Ball the Tiger, but I'll tune in hoping that in the madness a slip-up happens and Corso tries to put a motocross bike on his head.
