Jimbo Fisher isn't resting on his laurels. The Florida State head coach isn't satisfied with a 4-0 start, nor is he looking back on his team's thrilling 49-37 win over the Clemson Tigers.
Via the Tallahasee Democrat, Fisher believes that it's time for his fourth-ranked Seminoles to improve – not dwell on the past:
"Right now everybody's happy. I'm not. At all. Everybody's relieved. I'm not. Relief? That's the worst thing we can have. It's time to put the foot on the gas and get better right now. It's not time to feel good about yourself or feel relief. It's time to move on."
Fisher is doing everything his can to keep his team focused, as they get ready to take on the South Florida Bulls. The Seminoles are well served not looking past the Bulls, as Florida State players are aware that it's going to be "South Florida's Super Bowl."
Florida State will begin a run of six consecutive games against ACC opponents following this week's contest against South Florida – so now is as good a time as ever to "put the foot on the gas."
