Brandon Jenkins Injury: Blog Reaction To Loss Of Defensive Star

The Florida State Seminoles got some bad news on Monday, when it was learned that defensive end Brandon Jenkins was lost for the season with a left foot injury.

After beating the Murray State Racers 69-3 at Doak Campbell Stadium over the weekend, the Seminole fans were feeling good. Over at Tomahawk Nation, Bud Elliott summed up the feelings of many.

Jenkins was a strong All-America candidate and a multi-time All-Conference selection. He was arguably the best player on Florida State's defense, and forwent a chance to be a high NFL draft choice, instead electing to return for his senior season.

Florida State is loaded at defensive end, but the Seminoles will not be able to replace Jenkins. This is a major hit for the defense.

Losing a potential NFL first-round pick is never easy to swallow, but Florida St. is extremely deep on the defensive line with a bevy of talented defenders.
