The Florida State Seminoles held steady at No. 6 in this week's USA Today Coaches Poll. The Seminoles could have named their score Saturday night against Savannah State, a 55-0 final in a game that was called in the third quarter due to lightning.
The Florida Gators jumped from No. 23 to No. 17 in this week's edition thanks to an impressive comeback win over the Texas A&M Aggies. Florida was down 17-0 at halftime and came back to win 20-17.
The Alabama Crimson Tide held their top spot in the poll for the second week in a row. The LSU Tigers jumped over the USC Trojans for the No. 2 spot. LSU defeated the Washington Huskies 41-3 on Saturday, while the Trojans beat the Syracuse Orange 42-29 after a slow first half.
