Even though the Florida State Seminoles lost to the N.C. State Wolfpack on Oct. 6, FSU is still projected to be playing in a BCS bowl -- it just won't be the national title game.
CBS Sports projects the Seminoles to play in the Orange Bowl, which pits the ACC champion against an at-large team. CBS Sports' Jerry Palm projects Florida State's opponent to be the Boise State Broncos, one of college football's perennial Cinderella stories.
Even though the Florida Gators are currently the No. 2 team in the BCS standings, Palm projects the Gators to play in this year's Outback Bowl, against the Wisconsin Badgers. The Outback Bowl pits the No. 3 Big Ten team against an SEC team.
The Miami Hurricanes are projected to play in the Sun Bowl, against the UCLA Bruins. The Sun Bowl pits the No. 4 team from the Pac-12 against the No. 4 team from the ACC.
As expected, the Alabama Crimson Tide are projected to play in the BCS National Championship Game, but against the USC Trojans. The other BCS bowls pit Kansas State against Notre Dame (Fiesta), Georgia against Louisville (Sugar), and Oregon against Nebraska (Rose).
