Bowl projections 2012: Florida State projects to Orange Bowl, Florida to Outback Bowl

SB Nation's latest slate of bowl projections has Florida State in the BCS, but Florida on the outside looking in.

The Florida State Seminoles can start planning for an Orange Bowl bid, according to the latest slate of bowl projections from SB Nation.

Jason Kirk has the Seminoles taking on the Louisville Cardinals of the Big East in the BCS bowl. The Seminoles would get an automatic bid to the game if they are the ACC's champion and do not make the BCS title game. Louisville gets its bid on the strength of a Big East championship, but slips to the Orange Bowl's final pick among the BCS pool.

The Florida Gators, despite their No. 4 BCS ranking, are on the outside of the BCS picture looking in, according to SB Nation, as they would be left out in favor of the Texas A&M Aggies in the Sugar Bowl.

The Central Florida Knights are projected to take on the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs in the Military Bowl, with both teams taking the place of conferences or teams that cannot meet the bowl eligibility requirements.
