Florida State vs. Virginia Tech 2012 game preview: Schedule, TV info and more

The Florida State Seminoles head to Virginia Tech for an ACC match-up.

Florida State faces Virginia Tech on the road as the conference schedule gets closer to the end. The Seminoles (8-1 overall, 5-1 ACC) only lost to North Carolina State this season, in a one-point game. Most recently, FSU defeated Duke 48-7 on Oct. 27.

Virginia Tech (4-5, 2-3 ACC) has dropped two straight games and four of its last five game. Just like FSU, the Hokies last win came against Duke, only it was two weeks prior.

One major difference between FSU and Virginia Tech is the quarterback performance this season. FSU quarterback E.J. Manuel, a Virginia native, ranks second in the country in passing efficiency (174.03), completing 70 percent of his passes this season for 2,315 yards. Logan Thomas has thrown 13 touchdowns and 12 interceptions for the Hokies this season, possibly hurting his one-time high prospective draft status.

Thursday's game will be televised on ESPN at 7:30 p.m. ET. Florida State is a 14-point favorite.
