Florida State built a large lead in the first half and was able to hold on in the second as the Semionles beat Georgia Tech, 21-15, in the ACC Championship game on Saturday. With the win, the Seminoles secured a spot in the Orange Bowl.

Florida State led 21-6 at halftime but was unable to score in the second half as Georgia Tech slowly cut the Seminoles' lead to 21-15 late in the fourth quarter.

Florida State head coach Jimbo Fisher told Clark Spencer of the Miami Herald that his team couldn't play much better offensively than it did in the first half, but kept shooting itself in the foot in the second.

Georgia Tech had the ball at its own 15-yard line with 2:17 remaining in the game, but quarterback Tevin Washington was picked off by Karlos Williams to end the Yellow Jackets' rally and secure Florida State's win.

"The quarterback threw a pretty bad ball," Williams said about his interception. "I'm just happy I got the ball."
