The Florida State Seminoles moved to 5-0 with a win against South Florida on Saturday and in doing so were able to jump up one spot in the Associated Press Top 25. They are now No. 3.

The Seminoles leapfrogged LSU, which dropped one stop to No. 4. Florida State received 1349 points, up from 1340 points last week. This is the highest the Seminoles have been ranked in the AP poll this season. They started as the preseason No. 7 and have slowly climbed up each week. They trail just No. 2 Oregon and No. 1 Alabama.

The Florida Gators also moved up one spot, climbing to No. 10 after they beat Kentucky 38-0 on Saturday. The Gators moved up a spot because No. 8 Stanford fell to No. 18 after it lost to Washington. This is the third straight week the Gators have moved up in the poll.

The Miami Hurricanes received four votes after they improved to 4-1 with a 44-37 win against North Carolina State. The four points are the most Miami has received this season. The Hurricanes received a single vote each of the last two weeks. At 2-2 and 2-3, neither UCF nor South Florida received a vote.
