Sean O'Hair and Kenny Perry both shot a blazing 11-under on the second day of the Franklin Templeton Shootout to take the lead at Tiburon Golf Club in Naples, Florida. The pair were two back of Davis Love III and Brandt Snedeker after the first day of action, but surged ahead on Saturday to move to 19-under for the weekend, two strokes up heading into Sunday's final round.

The opening day of play was a modified alternate shot format, which Love III and Snedeker thrived in. Saturday's play saw the field play better ball, which O'Hair and Perry used to their advantage with aggressive shots that paid off almost all around. They drove it long and attacked the pin, which played on the forgiving course in the forgiving better ball format and they capped the round with a birdie to finish off a great day.

O'Hair and Perry are just two shots ahead of Love II and Snedeker, while three groups are all tied for third. Vijay Singh and Jason Dufner, Charles Howell II and Roby Sabbatini and Stewart Cink and Carl Pettersson are all 15-under for the tournament. Defending champions Keegan Bradley and Brendan Steele are tied for sixth at 13-under and will need a massive final day to have any chance at repeating in Naples.
