Ryder Cup 2012 Day 1: TV coverage, tee times, matches and more

FedEx Cup winner Brandt Snedeker and Tiger Woods highlight morning foursome action from the Ryder Cup.

Action from the 2012 Ryder Cup gets underway with foursomes action Friday as the United States looks to redeem its 2010 loss to the European squad at Medinah Country Club in Medinah, Ill.

The golfers will hit the links bright and early, as the United States sends FedEx Cup winner Brandt Snedeker and Jim Furyk to take on world No. 1 Rory McIlroy and Graeme McDowell at 7:20 a.m. The duos will tee off every 15 minutes from there, as Tiger Woods and Steve Stricker take on Europeans Ian Poulter and Justin Rose in the day's final foursome at 8:05 a.m.

In between the two marquee matchups of the morning foursome action, Americans Phil Mickelson and Keegan Bradley will tee off against Luke Donald and Sergio Garcia at 7:35 a.m.. Mickelson owns a career 11-17-6 overall record at the Ryder Cup, and a 2-5-4 record in foursomes. Garcia has had more success in Ryder Cups past, posting a 14-6-4 record overall.

Zach Johnson and Jason Dufner will tee off against Lee Westwood and Francesco Molinari at 7:50 a.m.
