In the midst of weathering of blustery day, Michael Thompson managed to shoot a one-under-par 69 on Sunday en route to capturing the 2013 Honda Classic title. The win marked Thompson's first on as a pro on the PGA Tour, and his bank account certainly appreciated his success.
Thompson took home $1,080,000 for his efforts at the PGA National Champion Course in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. He finished nine-under par overall, defeating runner-up Geoff Ogilvy by two strokes. Ogilvy pockets $648,000 for his second-place performance.
