In the first quarter of a Week 7 game against the Oakland Raiders, on his first carry of the game Jaguars running back Maurice Jones-Drew suffered an ankle injury and spent time on the sideline while trainers treated his ankle.
The injury doesn't appear as though it will keep the top offensive threat for the Jaguars out of the game, but he missed each of the next two offensive series with Rashad Jennings running in his place. The Jaguars have offered no further update or prognosis on the injury.
They have declared starting offensive lineman Uche Nwaneri questionable to return though, after the guard suffered a leg injury in the first quarter against the Raiders. With the pair of offensive injuries, the Jaguars have struggled to get off to a strong start offensively, failing to get a first down on each of their first two offensive possessions.
Both the Jaguars and Raiders enter Week 7 with 1-4 records.
