NFL Injury Report: Blaine Gabbert, Maurice Jones-Drew go down for Jags

The Jaguars lost their two most important offensive players to injury on top of their overtime loss to the Raiders on Sunday.

The Jacksonville Jaguars had to deal with the losses of running back Maurice Jones-Drew and quarterback Blaine Gabbert during their game with the Oakland Raiders on Sunday. The Jags still nearly pulled off a win, losing by a field goal in overtime. Jones-Drew left early in the game after just two carries. Head coach Mike Mularkey revealed in his Monday press conference that the running back suffered a foot injury and will be out for the Jaguars' next game against the Green Bay Packers.

The news is better for Gabbert. He suffered an injury to his non-throwing shoulder, but may be able to practice on Wednesday.

Defensive back Dwight Lowery will miss this week's game with an ankle injury. Uche Nwaneri should play despite issues with his knee and ankle. Laurent Robinson is recovering from a concussion and still hasn't passed the required test. The statuses of cornerback Rashean Mathis (groin), linebacker Daryl Smith (groin) and running back Montell Owens (shoulder) are still uncertain.
