The Jacksonville Jaguars opened as four-point underdogs against the Detroit Lions this week. Since that line was established, the Jaguars have improved to 3.5-point underdogs at many sportsbooks.
The Jaguars come into the week having lost four games in a row, though they were competitive in Green Bay last Sunday. Jacksonville's lone win came on the road against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 3.
The Lions are just 3-4 this season despite a win last weekend, and they're trying to work their way out of last place in the NFC North division. Detroit is No. 9 in total defense so far in 2012, but just No. 23 in points allowed per game. The Lions also rank No. 2 in total offense.
The Jaguars are last in the league in both total offense and scoring. They rank 27th in points allowed per game and 25th in total defense.
The Week 9 matchup between the Lions and Jaguars is set for 1 p.m. ET this Sunday.
