Lions vs. Jaguars score update: Detroit dominates second quarter, takes 21-0 lead

After a scoreless first quarter, the Jaguars defense couldn't delay the inevitable any longer as they allowed three Lions touchdowns. The Jaguars offense struggled to do anything right, and the team headed into halftime down, 21-0.

With far more time of possession than the Jaguars and nearly three times the offensive plays, the Lions methodically drove the field into Jaguars territory three times with a balanced attack that featured 52 yards rushing and three touchdowns from Mikel Leshoure. Calvin Johnson had six receptions for 111 yards.

While the Lions found all kinds of offensive success, the Jaguars managed a single first down that didn't come until their fourth offensive possession. After the first down drew sarcastic applause from a crowd that cheered for Guy Whimper being declared as an eligible receiver for a play, that drive resulted in Bryan Anger's fourth punt of the day.

At the half, the Lions have 285 total yards of offense to just 57 for the Jaguars.
