Jacksonville Jaguars' running back Maurice Jones-Drew says he will not miss any mandatory practices with the team during the offseason despite his recent contract dispute with the franchise.
Jones-Drew missed a significant amount of practice time in 2012 while holding out for a new deal with Jacksonville. He eventually returned to the field without a new contract from the Jaguars, and he will be a free agent after the 2013 season if the team does not give him an extension.
He has 414 rushing yards and one touchdown this season but has not played in a game since suffering a foot injury against the Raiders on Oct. 21. Jones-Drew didn't practice on Wednesday but said he hopes he'll be able to play in Jacksonville's game against New England this weekend.
The Jaguars have lost seven of the eight games Jones-Drew has missed, including their last three. Jacksonville hosts the Patriots at 1 p.m. ET on Sunday.
