Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Cecil Shorts III suffered a concussion on Sunday during the Jags' 34-18 loss to the Buffalo Bills, according to head coach Mike Mularkey:
"They’re both in the concussion program and they’ll be tested tomorrow. You can put George Selvie in there as well. The three of them."
Shorts appeared to be injured when he was hit by Bills defensive back Ron Brooks while on his way to the ground, knocking him unconscious briefly. He did not return to the game afterwards. Running back Rashad Jennings also suffered a concussion on Sunday, as referenced in the quote by Mularkey.
Shorts' emergence as a legitimate offensive threat has been one of the few positives about the 2012 season for the Jaguars. Before leaving the game on Sunday, he had seven catches for 77 yards and a touchdown, and he has 43 catches for 824 yards and seven touchdowns on the season.
