Jaguars waive Clint Session, Maurice Stovall

Clint Session and Maruice Stovall were released by the Jacksonville Jaguars on Tuesday.

The Jacksonville Jaguars announced Tuesday that the team has waived linebacker Clint Session and tight end Maurice Stovall.

Session suffered three concussions in 2011, including two in the same game against the Cleveland Browns. Session was placed on the PUP list prior to the 2012 season, and did not appear in a game.

Originally drafted by the Indianapolis Colts in the fourth round of the 2007 NFL Draft, Session signed with the Jaguars prior to the 2011 season. Session and the Jaguars agreed to a five-year, $30 million dollar deal, but Session was only able to appear in nine games for the Jaguars before his release.

Unfortunately for Session, it seems unlikely that he'll ever appear in another NFL game, as the linebacker is still recovering from concussions suffered a year ago.

Stovall was signed by the Jaguars in September, and appeared in 10 games before being released, serving as a backup tight end and special teams player.

In a corresponding roster move, the Jaguars re-signed full back Will Ta'ofu'ou.
