Jacksonville Jaguars At Houston Texans: Video Of Blaine Gabbert Injury

During the Jacksonville Jaguars first drive of the day, Blaine Gabbert, scrambling for a first down, took a shot from LB Brian Cushing -- a blow that looked worthy of drawing a penalty flag as Gabbert had already initiated his slide:

Gabbert went to the sideline where he was examined by medical personnel and had bandages applied to his ribs. Backup quarterback, Luke McCown -- who began the season as the Jaguars starter -- took Gabbert's place but could not keep the Jags drive alive.

On the ensuing Jacksonville Jaguars possession, Gabbert returned to play and appeared to show no major affects from the injury.

Many Jags fans online and around Twitter complained about the nature of the hit, which appeared to be preceded by a horse-collar and concluded with an illegal hit on a sliding quarterback.
