The Jacksonville Jaguars (3-7) host the Houston Texans (7-3) this Sunday, Nov. 27, in an AFC South showdown. The Jaguars had a chance last Sunday to pick up their first winning streak of the season, but they fell to the Cleveland Browns, 14-10, in another anemic offensive performance. They return home to EverBank Field to begin a well-earned three-game homestand; the Jags have played four of their last five games on the road.
The Texans seem to have found a winning formula, as a four-game winning streak has them atop the AFC South. Their average victory margin during that stretch stands at 22.5 points, so they're certainly taking care of the competition, even if it's not the highest caliber. Of the Texans' opponents during the winning streak, Jacksonville came closest to defeating them, as it fell by only 10 points.
Houston is coming off its bye week, but prior to that it cruised to a 37-9 victory against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Arian Foster, Ben Tate, and Derrick Ward each had at least 11 carries in that contest, and each of them scored a touchdown. Indeed, Houston outgained Tampa Bay, 185-90, on the ground, illustrating the strength of its running game.
Kickoff between the Texans and the Jags is set for 1 PM this Sunday. CBS will provide the telecast.
