The Jacksonville Jaguars (4-9) look to build their first winning streak of the season when they visit the Atlanta Falcons (8-5) in their first Thursday Night Football appearance since 2009. Kickoff is set for 8:20 on NFL Network.
Both teams will take the field under very short rest, having played Sunday. Jacksonville trounced the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 41-14, behind a brilliant performance from Maurice Jones-Drew. The six-year veteran recorded 136 all-purpose yards and scored four touchdowns as Jacksonville finished the game by scoring its last 41 points.
Atlanta, meanwhile, stayed on a roll by handing the Carolina Panthers a 31-23 defeat. The Falcons have won six of their last eight games to surge back into playoff contention, and would indeed capture one of the NFC's Wild Card spots if the season were to end today.
Jacksonville owns a 3-1 record against the Falcons all-time, including a victory in the most recent meeting between the teams back in 2007.
