New Jaguars owner Shahid Khan has been looking to make his mark on the franchise and has shown quite a bit of bravado in the media thus far. Khan's taking another step towards that with changing the Jacksonville Jaguars uniforms. Beginning in 2012 the Jaguars will wear black alternate uniforms and in the 2013 season, the Jaguars will wear all new uniforms designed by Nike with black as the primary color.
Shad Khan just told me that the Jaguars will be switching to all-black uniforms and that teal will become the third / alternate color.— Mike Dempsey (@md_1010xl) February 3, 2012
The Jaguars will be the first team in the NFL to have completely new redesigned Nike uniforms and are planning to be the flagship for the new Nike uniforms. As mentioned, black will now be the primary color instead of teal with teal becoming the third alternate jersey. Teal will still be prominent in the uniform however, being used as the accent color of the black and white uniforms.
