Dwight Lowery, Jaguars Agree On New 4-Year Contract

After a slow start to the 2012 NFL free agency season, the Jacksonville Jaguars got a bit of good news as they have re-signed free agent safety Dwight Lowery. Lowery tweeted that he was back, and the re-signing was confirmed by Tania Ganguli of the Florida Times-Union.

The Jaguars acquired Lowery in a trade with the New York Jets just before the start of the 2011 NFL season for a seventh-round pick. It took Lowery a few weeks to get into the starting lineup, but he was still able to make in impact playing in sub-packages early on.

The terms of the new deal with Lowery have yet to be disclosed.
