Jaguars Re-Sign Jeremy Mincey, According To Report

The Jacksonville Jaguars waited until the night time to get started in free agency, re-signing safety Dwight Lowery earlier in the evening to a new four-year contract. The Jaguars have now brought back another of their own, defensive end Jeremy Mincey has signed a four-year deal according to a report by Aaron Wilson of Scout.com.

The Jacksonville Jaguars have retained veteran defensive end Jeremy Mincey on a four-year deal, according to a league source with knowledge of the situation. The Jaguars' new contract with Mincey keeps them from losing one of the top defensive free agents.

Mincey was a late bloomer in the NFL, bouncing around on a few teams before he stuck on with the Jaguars. Even once he stuck with the Jaguars, Mincey had trouble cracking the line up and staying on the football field and dealing with injuries. Last season, Mincey was able to play a full season and led the team in sacks with eight sacks on the season.
