Terrance Knighton Injury: Jaguars DT To Miss At Least 3 Months While Recovering

Jacksonville Jaguars defensive tackle Terrance Knighton, who suffered an eye injury as the result of a fight at the Pure nightclub, will miss at least the next three months while he recovers according to head coach Mike Mularkey.

Knighton is entering the final year of his rookie contract which he signed after being drafted by the Jaguars in the third round in 2009. The 6'3" 336 pound defensive tackle was held without a sack in 2011 after recording four in 2010. Despite that he recorded a total of 29 tackles in 13 games.

There is concern that this eye injury could force Knighton to miss the 2012 season. For a defense that needs to address its pass rush, a loss like this could hurt Jacksonville entering the new season.
