With the sixth pick in the sixth round of the 2012 NFL Draft, the 176th pick overall, the Jacksonville Jaguars selected Florida State cornerback Mike Harris. Harris transferred to Florida State from El Camino Community College, and started for one year after mainly playing in nickel packages earlier in his career.
Harris is regarded as athletic and excellent in man coverage, with the hip flexibility and awareness to cover athletic receivers in the slot and on the outside. He is also a good tackler and proficient in blitz support off the edge.
