The Jacksonville Jaguars announced on Monday that the team has signed seventh-round pick Jeris Pendleton. A product of Ashland University, Pendleton will receive a four-year deal. Terms of the deal were not disclosed at the time of the announcement.

Pendleton is a 6'2" 328 pound defensive tackle from Chicago. After two years at Joliet Junior College, he transferred to Ashland University where he played for two more years. He finished his college career at Ashland with six sacks and 11 tackles for a loss. He was the 228th player selected in the draft.

Jacksonville now has three of its six picks from the 2012 draft under contract, including defensive end Andre Branch and cornerback Mike Harris. Branch is the highest draft pick that the Jags have signed. The first Clemson player selected in the draft, he went at 38th overall in the second round.
