Jacksonville Jaguars defensive tackle Terrance Knighton is making a conscious effort to try and drop some weight to be cleared to participate. However, the defensive tackle appeared at Jaguars training camp on Thursday much lighter than he usually has been and appears to be in shape. Florida Times-Union writer Tania Ganguli tweeted that he looks to be well under his listed weight.
Terrance Knighton here looking svelte. Under 330 pounds right now. Impressive. #Jaguars

Knighton losing that much weight can only be a good thing for the Jaguars defense. Less weight on his body will mean that he should have more longevity as an impact player in the league. His body will not be as prone to injuries hopefully, so that the Jaguars can get a good run out of him as a run stuffing player in the middle of the defensive line.
