Rashad Jennings Injury: Jaguars RB Could Be Out Week 2

The Jacksonville Jaguars anxiously await the results of an MRI on Rashad Jennings' knee. Unfortunately, coach Mike Mularkey does not expect Jennings to play on Sunday, when the Jaguars host the Houston Texans.

Jennings typically serves as Maurice Jones-Drew's primary backup at running back. Last week against the Vikings, he amassed eight carries for 31 yards, along with a 9-yard reception.

If Jennings is unable to go, Montell Owens will likely serve as MJD's backup.

Jacksonville's running game could have a tough time on Sunday, as the Texans allowed only 96 rushing yards per game last season, which was good for fourth in the NFL.

Last year, Jones-Drew averaged only 81 yards in his two games against the Texans.
