The Jacksonville Jaguars have claimed offensive tackle Troy Kropog off the waiver wire, according to Jaguars blog Big Cat Country. Kropog can play both guard and tackle, and he should provide depth on a reshuffled Jaguars line following Sunday's loss at Minnesota. Starting left guard Eben Britton and starting right tackle Cameron Bradfield are uncertain to play this weekend against the Houston Texans.
The Tennessee Titans waived Kropog on Tuesday in response to an apparent glut in reserve offensive linemen. Tennessee selected Kropog out of Tulane in the fourth round of the 2009 draft. He played in six games from 2009 to 2010, but spent all of 2011 on the practice squad. It has been speculated that Kropog would not have made Tennessee's initial 53-man roster if not for an injury to veteran lineman Mike Otto.
