Texans HC Gary Kubiak Impressed With Jaguars WR Cecil Shorts III

Houston Texans head coach Gary Kubiak is impressed with Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Cecil Shorts III, and Kubiak talked about him during a conference call:

"He's capable of making plays on you. You never know in this league where the ball's going to go. I mean the ball goes where it covers dictates where it has to go. He got his opportunity and made a big play.

Defensively we've got to play the defense. You can't sit there and worry about this guy or that guy. We've got to play our defense and be consistent across the board. Obviously you've got very capable people and people capable making big plays on you."

The Texans have a reason to be concerned, since Shorts caught four passes for 74 yards and a touchdown in their Week 1 loss to the Minnesota Vikings. Kubiak said that he will not change up his defensive scheme for just one player, but he also realizes that Shorts is a threat to have a big game.
