Texans Vs. Jaguars Score Update: Jacksonville Trails 17-0 At Halftime

Following a poor opening quarter in which the Texans jumped out to a 10-0 lead, the Jaguars continued to dig themselves into a hole and now trail 17-0 at halftime.

After Blaine Gabbert was sacked by Antonio Smith on the opening possession of the second quarter, the Jaguars were forced to punt, but the defense held strong with a three-and-out.

However, the offense continued to struggle, unable to move the ball when pinned inside their own 10-yard line. Another Bryan Anger punt (his fourth of the game) gave the Texans the ball back near midfield, which promptly led to an 8-yard touchdown run by Ben Tate to extend the Texans' lead to 17.

The Jacksonville offense continued to struggle with their fifth and sixth consecutive drives ending in punts. The Jaguars defense was able to limit the bleeding, though, preventing Houston from continuing to add to their lead.

At halftime, the Jaguars have been out-gained 242 yards to just 43, with Maurice Jones-Drew responsible for 41 of the Jacksonville yardage. They will get the ball to begin the second half.
