After a 40-yard touchdown gave the Indianapolis Colts a 7-3 lead in the first quarter, an Andrew Luck touchdown pass to Mewelde Moore gave the Colts another seven points and allowed them to extend their lead to 14-3.
While some questionable calls cost the Jaguars in the second quarter, a strong running game led by Maurice Jones-Drew and some defensive stops allowed the team to stay within striking distance for much of the quarter. A pass interference call on Derek Cox nullified a holding call and gave the Colts another third down chance that they converted.
However, a 14-play, 80 yard drive orchestrated by Luck gave the Colts a touchdown with just 37 seconds remaining in the half and a 14-3 lead. Blaine Gabbert has completed 6-of-11 passes for 46 yards while Jones-Drew has 70 yards rushing on 12 carries.
After kicking off the begin the game, the Colts will begin the second half with the ball.
