Tight end Brett Brackett left Jaguars practice on Monday after suffering a serious knee injury about 30 minutes into practice. Coach Mike Mularkey was near Brackett when the injury occured. When asked about the injury after practice, he did not mince words about the injury. "I saw the knee. It didn't look good when he planted."
Brackett was kept on the team to help replace Zach Miller, who has been battling injury issues for awhile now. Adam Stites of Big Cat Country does say that the Jaguars have a few options should Brackett miss a substantial period of time.
Namely, Colin Cloherty, a tight end that spent preseason and some of the 2011 season with the Jaguars could make a return or the team could look to acquire a new tight end like Chris Cooley or Mike Hoomanawanui.
The Jaguars will play the Minnesota on Sunday with kick off schedule for 1 p.m. at Mall of America Field. The game will be broadcast on CBS.
