The Jacksonville Jaguars have partnered up with three army ranger battalions based out of Savannah, Ga., in something called "got your back." Head coach Mike Mularkey has become e-mail buddies with these Rangers who are currently serving in Afghanistan.
The idea behind this partnership is that Jaguars players will wear a patch with a ranger's name on the back with the slogan "Got Your Back." These battalion members will get various Jaguars players' names on a patch and sent out to them.
This is a really cool thing that the Jaguars are doing to reach out to those serving the United States in Afghanistan. This sounds like it is going to be a season-long thing that the team and Army are teaming up and doing. There is no word yet what players will be participating in this in the opening week.
