Jaguars Vs. Vikings: Adrian Peterson A Game Time Decision

When the Jacksonville Jaguars kick off their season on Sunday, they may not have to do it against Minnesota Vikings superstar Adrian Peterson, who is trying to make an accelerated recovery from a torn ACL.

As Christopher Gates of the Daily Norseman writes, some Vikings fans have taken it for granted that their four-time Pro Bowl running back would start the season good as new. Coach Leslie Frazier offered this: "We'll talk about it as the week goes on and see how he's doing and if it's even a viable option to let him play."

It sounds like Peterson will be a game time decision. If AP is unavailable, Toby Gerhart, who averaged 4.9 yards per carry last season, will go in his stead. It's likely that the two end up splitting carries for much of the season.
