Jaguars Have Just 3 Healthy DE's For Opener

The Jacksonville Jaguars will only have three healthy defensive ends in their opening game against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday. Jaguars head coach Mike Mularkey plans to use defensive tackles on the edges against the Vikings.

Jeremy Mincey, Andre Branch and Aaron Morgan are the three defensive ends that are healthy. Backup defensive end Austen Lane is still recovering from a knee sprain. Alfie Crow of Big Cat Country breaks down how the rotation can work.

Morgan is more of a pure pass rusher that the team likes to use on passing downs, but rotating in some players like D'Anthony Smith and Tyson Alualu at defensive end should suffice for a week or so.

The Jaguars play the Vikings on Sunday, kickoff scheduled for 1 p.m. The game will be televised on CBS.
