Blaine Gabbert Looks Different To Maurice Jones-Drew

Blaine Gabbert will begin his second season as quarterback for the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings. Running back Maurice Jones-Drew talked to reporters on Wednesday about how different Gabbert looks this season as opposed to last year.

His command of the offense is great. He tells guys where to go, he calls the plays, knows where the play is going. It's not like he's learning on the run. He's doing a great job with it.

Jones-Drew brought up one specific example from a play that was called at a practice on Monday.

On Monday I messed up a couple of times, and he was like ‘No, no no. We will do it this way. It's just like this play from last year, but we call it this.' He is able to break it down for me where I can adjust a little bit faster. When you have a quarterback that's like that at a young age, you expect nothing from greatness from him.

The Jaguars play the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday at 1 p.m. from Mall of America Field. The game is scheduled for a 1 p.m. kick off with television coverage on CBS.
