The St. Louis Rams lead the Miami Dolphins, 6-0, as the Dolphins have struggled on both sides of the ball and are fortunate to be down by only 6 after two field goals by Dolphins' kicker Greg Zuerlein.
The Rams' offense has been dominant with 89 passing yards and 70 rushing yards in the first quarter. The Rams have outgained the Dolphins, 159 to 32, in total yards as the Rams had the ball for 18 plays compared with the Dolphins' nine. The Rams possessed the ball for 9:02 of the first quarter, keeping the ball out of the Dolphins' hands. The Dolphins have managed a measly 4 yards rushing.
But the Dolphins have bended but not broken and have prevented the Rams from converting their offensive dominance into touchdowns. Though the first quarter was one to forget, the Dolphins can be happy with a 6-point deficit heading into the second quarter.
