Rams vs. Dolphins 2012 score update: Mental mistakes plaguing St. Louis, Miami taking advantage

The Miami Dolphins are winning quite possibly the most statistically awkward game played this season. And they'll take it.

Up 17-6 after three quarters, the Dolphins are beating a St. Louis Rams team that has dominated every facet of the game except for the one that matters.

The Dolphins are losing at everything. They are putting up historically bad rushing numbers. They have 11 yards total in three quarters. They are being outgained, have had the ball for less time and have been putrid on the offensive side of the ball. But the Rams have 11 penalties for 91 yards and Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill has two touchdown passes including a third quarter touchdown pass to Anthony Fasano that gave the Dolphins their current lead.

The Rams still can't get over their penalties and their inability to turn their yards into the points. In a league of wins and losses, the Dolphins will take what they can get.
